Taught by Britt Gambino

Britt Gambino is a recent poetry MFA graduate from The New School. Her work has been published in anderboDecomPThe Battered Suitcase,Moon Milk ReviewCaper Literary Journal, and elsewhere. Britt is an Assistant Editor at The Doctor T.J. Eckleberg Review and contributes to The Sexy Feminist blog. She lives at the end of the universe (a.k.a., Washington Heights) where she enjoys listening to a mysterious trumpet player. Eggs Benedict, guilty pleasure television, and a night of burlesque are all sure-fire ways to make her happy.

This is an old class! Enjoy the notes, and check out the current courses.

If the first Queer Poets & Poetry left you wanting more, you're in luck. A sequel is on the way to quench your summer thirst!

In this session, we'll focus on another batch of awesome poets: Michelle Tea, Eileen Myles, and D.A. Powell, among others. We'll also re-examine some of the poets previously discussed by returning to the writing exercises from the first session.

We'll focus a bit more on creating our own poems in this session, so be prepared to get inspired by these poets and their fearlessness in tackling the political, sexual, social, and personal.

Once again, this class is intended for all levels of experience and sexual identities. No need to have taken the first session to participate in this round.
