Taught by Lisa Nett

Lisa hails from the tree filled state of Wisconsin. She studied forestry at UW-Madison, and the art of firewood stacking on the family dairy farm. She rolls through the city streets on a trusty Schwinn while sneaking peeks at the passing trees. Check out Lisa's tree-focused Tumblr, The Tree Seen, or follow her on Twitter, @lisa_nett

This is an old class! Check out the current classes, or sign up for our mailing list to see if we'll offer this one again.

This class might be over, but get first dibs on new sessions and brand-new classes by signing up on our ultra-rad mailing list.

Join us for a local tree identification walk with an emphasis on the wonders of maple trees!  We will take a crash course in tree identification, search for signs of Spring, hunt for maple flowers, and ponder the loveliness of trees in the leafless season.

And yes, there will be a maple syrup tasting (that's right: TASTING). Your pancakes will thank you.

This walk meets rain or shine in Prospect Park. Exact meeting instructions will be sent the day before the walk.
