Ever wanted to write a thank-you note to your Great Aunt Clara with your very own stationery? Well now you can, and boy, Clara won't be disappointed. DIY Printmaker Christine Garvey will show you the ropes of stationery making in this DIY intensive.
In four glorious hours, students will:
• Design, carve, and edition their own personalized letterheads using hand-made stamps
• Learn new mark-making techniques, including photo-copy transferring, and stenciling to make unique stationery pieces
• Exchange and collaborate with fellow students!
Bring in 10-15 small photocopies (not print outs!), approximately 4" x 5", of black-and-white images you'd like to use to transfer onto letterhead. Make sure images are simple and clear; it will make the carving process easier.
(class size: 9, hands on, includes a lino cutter set for you to keep!)
