This is an old class! Enjoy the notes, and check out the current courses.

In this lecture and hands-on workshop session, Amy Madden, the designer behind Sweet Olive Jewelry, will show you everything you need to know to set up a low-tech metalsmithing studio and begin creating your own simple soldered jewelry.

Using mainly equipment found in most kitchens or toolboxes, participants will learn how to solder silver and copper wire to create earrings, pendants and rings. Finishing techniques like filing, surface treatments and polishing will also be explored.

You’ll leave this session adorned with several ready-to-wear pieces.

Note: This is a super small, hands on class. Add your name to the wait list so we know to have more sessions!
