The science of hereditary traits pervades our daily existence with increasing influence.  Consider your genes and propensity for diseases like cancer, genetically modified crops, or that a beagle and a toy poodle are both wolves.

This course will survey the history of genetics by highlighting the elegant and simple experiments that taught us what we know about DNA and genes today, and how this effects every one of us.  Plus, we will perform several awesome experiments including extracting DNA from fruits.  You won't want to miss it!  No science background is necessary.

This class, like all the rest, takes place at the Brainery space at the corner of W. 9th and Court in Carroll Gardens.
