Join Lara Antal and Dave Kelly for a special class on making comic books inspired by your neighborhood! They'll discuss the fundamentals of comic book storytelling, from jotting down your ideas to rendering artwork. You'll get to partake in a brainstorming session using fun prompts and hear DIY tips for making comics at home and on a budget. If you come with your own ideas in mind, even better! They'll even help you start a six-panel comic on the spot!

Writers and artists of all levels welcome. No prior experience necessary. You'll be provided with graphite pencils, Bristol board paper, and coloring tools to use during class, and the staple-free comic book that you make during class goes home with you. You'll also get a glass of wine to help get the creative juices flowing!
