A "Very Special" Holiday Wine Tasting

Taught by Kat

Kat Kelly has a passion for wine but strongly resists the industry standard photograph of her holding a wine glass and gazing into the distance. You’ll have to come to class to see that! Kat has a strong background in the New York wine scene and currently works for a Brooklyn based importer/distributor. She strives to educate the masses about wine, in a fun, attitude free environment. Wine is meant to be enjoyed, but enjoyment can be dramatically enhanced with tasting experience and some relevant background information. Grab a glass, open your mind and taste!

This is an old class! Enjoy the notes, and check out the current courses.

If we learned anything from Thanksgiving, it was that alcohol helps!

Throughout the holidays there are endless reasons to imbibe and it’s worth doing some research to ensure you’re getting the good stuff. Don’t rely on the old standbys of mulled wine, spiked ciders and boozy hot chocolates; we are going to provide great, elegant options for gifting and holiday festivities.

Brooklyn Brainery friend Kat Kelly will guide you through a very special holiday tasting with bubbly, winter whites, warming reds, comforting ports and even the Italian digestif amaro, the special elixir that makes you not feel like a stuffed whale even after you have stuffed yourself to whale size. Much like the great after school specials of your youth, you will learn an important lesson from this “very special” wine tasting. Good wine makes everything better.

You have to be 21 to take this class (obviously!)
