Looking for some nitty gritty of what will be covered? Look no further! 

Class 1: The fall of Rome and rise of the Byzantine Empire. The "Dark Ages" and the rise of dynastic rulers in France, England, and Germany. (Years 400-1066)

Class 2: The flowering of Medieval culture -- troubadours, minnesingers, and the code of chivalry. The Crusades, and the gradual decline of high-Middle-Age culture. (Years 1100-1300)

Class 3: Pan-European wars (the Hundred Years War, etc) and the fall of Constantinople. The Black Plague and its effect on the Medieval mindset and lifestyle. How all of these things laid the foundation for the coming Renaissance. (Years 1300-1453)
