This is an old class! Check out the current classes, or sign up for our mailing list to see if we'll offer this one again.

This class might be over, but get first dibs on new sessions and brand-new classes by signing up on our ultra-rad mailing list.

This class will be live, facilitated through Zoom.

Explore the creative, meditative process of suminagashi-style paper marbling. You'll be lead through a suminagashi demo, have a chance to follow along if you'd like, and there will be ample time for problem solving and questions. We’ll review tips and tricks for setting up your suminagashi station at home and you’ll be guided through the suminagashi process. We’ll have time for questions and reflections.

This class is for you if you’ve attended an in-person paper marbling class, have the materials, and are interested in trouble shooting prints, creating your suminagashi set up, or are interested in pursuing your practice from home.

Materials you'll want to have on hand:
+ A clear glass vessel (baking dish) or marbling tray
+ Suminagashi inks (this is the kit we usually use in class // feel free to purchase locally if available!)
+ Brushes
+ Dish soap (anything but dr. bronner's will do)
+ Paper (watercolor paper, cardstock, copy paper, etc)
+ Drying station: old towels, string and binder clips
