Stop letting good food go to waste. Learn the secrets to improvisational cooking so that you can shop less, cook more and waste nothing in your kitchen. This class, a combination of cooking demonstration, lecture and discussion will reveal Teaching Table's secrets for cooking spontaneously with what you have on hand.

You'll learn tips for organizing your fridge, freezer and pantry and utilizing these strategies for using what you have at home. You'll practice getting creative with vegetables from root to tip, understand how to substitute ingredients freely, and plan for using up "leftovers" before they go bad. This class will help you slash your food waste (and grocery expenses) in half and inspire you to make more flavorful original dishes. We'll taste a dish made in class using improvisational techniques.
