This class will teach you different strategies for finding errors in writing before they wind up in print, online, or your manager’s inbox. Learn how to integrate proofreading into your writing process to polish anything from e-mails and cover letters to grad school applications and that novel you’re working on.

We’ll look at approaches to the editing process, break down the different levels of editing, and go over print and digital proofreading techniques. Well also discuss traditional proofreading symbols and how you can use stylesheets and checklists to keep track of all the details. The class includes several low-key exercises to let you try out multiple strategies for proofreading and decide which methods work best for you.
