Taught by Sharon Zeisel

Sharon Zeisel has been teaching jewelry making in New York City for the past 15 years. With a degree in Art Education, she combines her love of teaching with her passion for beading, experiencing great joy in teaching others how to make their own jewelry. Using traditional beading methods to create on-trend designs, students will learn how to use a variety of jewelry making pliers and materials to make beautiful, wearable accessories as well as experience the mindful zen that comes naturally while beading. Sharon has taught for dozens of organizations such as Brooklyn Brainery, Brooklyn Public Library, Coursehorse, BUST Craftacular, and The United Federation of Teachers (UFT) turning absolute beginners into confident, capable, and enthusiastic Beaders. She resides in Brooklyn with her teenage daughters, and operates her local small business, Bead On Bond.

This is an old class! Check out the current classes, or sign up for our mailing list to see if we'll offer this one again.

Beading is a wonderful way to exercise the mind, hands, and eyes while also creating a lovely piece of jewelry.

In this class you will learn to fashion a fun and beautiful pair of hoop earrings, hand creating the loops with wire and embellishing them with colorful beads, all while learning how to use different types of jewelry pliers and a standard "wire wrapping" technique.

Come learn a new craft that can translate into gifts, supplement income, and inspire you to decorate yourself!

(We'll be working with various colors of wire and a selection of colored beads).
