This is an old class! Check out the current classes, or sign up for our mailing list to see if we'll offer this one again.

In this talk, we'll explore (and debunk) some of the current media storylines and myths surrounding anti-depressants: that they don't work, are addictive, or cause terrible side effects, and look at objective information about what anti-depressants do and don’t do.

We'll start out by clarifying what anti-depressants are and what conditions they are usually used to treat. Then we'll address how effective they are generally considered to be according to various sources. Finally, we'll study a few of the more common misconceptions about anti-depressant side effects and addictiveness, and finish up with a q&a session.
