Color! (is Awesome Even If You’re Not an Artist)
Taught by Larissa Hayden
Larissa is a PowerPoint monster. By day, she “writes decks”, which is just marketing jargon for making PowerPoints. By night, she helps run the booze-fueled history lecture series The Society for the Advancement of Social Studies, which is basically just making PowerPoints. In her free time, Larissa uses Keynote.

This is an old class! Enjoy the notes, and check out the current courses.
Have you ever thought about color? Probably not since you broke your last crayon— but you should! Color is hidden in plain sight but it affects even more than you think.
Did you know there are color trends? That painting your walls blue can increase productivity? That white is the color of mourning in China and Japan? That color can be additive or subtractive? Yes.
This course will explore color across a variety of topics--the science, psychology, history, and culture of color. Plus, we will do some trippy experiments in the perception of color, which will definitely make you think that color is awesome.
