Taught by Julia Silver Gordon of Hiho Batik

Hiho Batik is an experiential retail store and art space, offering people of all ages one-of-a-kind products, in a mass-produced world.

In the Hiho Batik art space, our guests create Make-Your-Own Hiho products and participate in DIY classes taught by local artists and craftspeople.

This is an old class! Check out the current classes, or sign up for our mailing list to see if we'll offer this one again.

This class might be over, but get first dibs on new sessions and brand-new classes by signing up on our ultra-rad mailing list.

*This class takes place in Hiho Batik's studio inside their store, located at 184 5th Avenue in Park Slope, Brooklyn.*

In this hands-on class, students will learn the art of batik, a wax-resist dyeing technique, and will practice different techniques using wax and dye. We'll then use these techniques to create a custom scarf.

All materials are provided, though please note you'll have to come back approximately one week later to pick up your scarf!
